Heidi and Sam

The owners

We are Sam Monsen and Heiðrún Fivelstad, brand new owners of Saga Cabins Snæfellsnes in western Iceland. Sam is an archaeologist from America with degrees in anthropology and Viking studies. Heiðrún is a native Icelander and professional photographer. We live in a small, coastal, farming community and operate a small business that rents out three cabins in the remote and beautiful Icelandic nature. We love to explore Iceland and the peninsula we live on is our favorite part of the country, with dozens of world-famous beaches, cliffs, waterfalls, volcanic craters and more! We hope we can share some of our favorite nearby destinations with you and we hope you love the area as much as we do.
